statement of preliminary expense in connction with Falls and Ottawa Railway Company to date - may

On Motion of Ald: Gaskin seconded by Ald: Machar
Ordered, that the Mayor issue a Proclamation
making the 12th day of August next the Civic Holiday

The Clerk submitted to the Council a Writ of Summons
served on him May the 27th 1890 Re Runions vs Kingston
claiming $200 damages done to Horse and Waggon

x On Motion of Ald: Shannon seconded by Ald: Gaskin
Ordered, that the City Solicitor be instructed to
enter a defence for the City in the action of Runions vs the City
and to make the Kingston street Railway Company a party _
defendant in order to claim from the said Company indemnity
against any liability or damages that may be found or recovered against the City of any such shall be found or recovered against
the City. x

Kingston Re laying Plank Walk on Sydenham st. Referred
to the Committee on Streets.

From E. C. Hill complaining of lack of drainage and
water on St Catherine street - Referred to the Committee on
streets.
