That the report of Water Works Committee be received
and adopted

In Amendment
Ald: Thompson moves seconded by Ald: Creeggan
That the report of the Water Works Committee be
amended by adding that it be an instruction from this
Council to that Committee to have the Water Works main laid
from its present limit on Sydenham street East to the
easterly end of same street for fire purposes and supply
of Consumers _ which being put was [Underline]lost [/Underline]

Yes the Mayor, Aldn Creeggan, Fenwick, Minnes
McCammon, Rees, Thompson 7

Nays Ald: Anglin, Gaskin, Machar, Muckleston
McIntyre, Redden, Robinson, Shannon, Webster 9.

The original motion was then put and [Underline]carried [/Underline]

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water
and Light brought up a Report (Number 755 Book F)
which was read and adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on Licenses brought
up a Report (Number 756 Book F) which was read and
adopted.

On Motion of Ald. Creeggan seconded by Ald. McIntyre
Ordered, that a refund of $8. out of the
License fee, paid for cabs be repaid to F, Bibby, H.P. Wells
Thomas Hayward, Elder Bros, McCammon Bros and Thomas
C. Wilson

On Motion of Ald. Redden seconded by Ald. Minnes
Ordered, that the time for paying taxes be
extended without per centage until the first day of
November 1890.

On Motion of Ald. Creeggan seconded by Ald. McCammon
Ordered, that the Water Works Committee
be directed to furnish a report showing the places where
water pipes have been laid without the request of the
residents, or any guarantee

On Motion the Council adjourned
