A Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston
was held this day. Present
His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Fenwick, Gaskin, C Robinson, Machar, Minnes, Muckleston
McCammon, McIntyre, Redden, W Robinson, Shannon,
Steacy, Swift Jos. F., Webster, Wilson

The Clerk read the minutes of the three last meetings
Communications were read and referred as follows:

From J. G. Mitchell 185 William Street asking to have his
name erased from the Landeryon petition for drain on Barrie
Street. Referred to the Committee on Streets

From Patrick Fallon asking to be paid for broken stone
Referred to the Committee on Streets

From the Department of Marine and Fisheries Re duties
of Light House Keepers - Referred to the Committee on Wharves

From John Macdonald Secretary Board of Public School
Trustees. furnishing statement of School Property - Referred to the
Committee on Schools

From Mr P Stearne presenting a Wolverine Rug to the
Mayor

From Alexander Martin Re Taxes - Referred to the City
Solicitor

From Albert A. E Loscombe asking for Statute Labor tax to
be remitted owing to his having paid Taxes on Ware-Rooms
Referred to the Court of Revision

From Sundry persons respecting taxes - Referred to the Court
of Revision

From Clark W Wright Complaining of Nuisance - Referrred
to the Board of Health

From P + E Waite calling attention of the Council to the
Snow ploughts they are manufacturing in this City - Referred to the
Committe on Streets

From Thomas Mills Secy Board of Trade asking for information touching the present assessment of the City particularly as
to Incomes and Mercantile stocks. also Re Exemptions - Referred
to the Committee on Finance

From George Thompson Collector of Taxes. Taxes collected
to date. Referred to the Committee on Finance

From A Burnstein. Re appeal from decision of the
Court of Revision

as to meansurement of lot and frontage paid for drain. Referred

From H Movers and 19 others, by Ald: Webster, asking that
the Board Walk between King and Union streets be placed outside
the Boulevard on Barrie Street - Referred to the Commitee on Streets
