A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of
Kingston was held this day Present

His Worship The Mayor
Aldermen

Anglin, Gaskin, C Robinson, Machar, Minnes
Muckleston, McCammon, Osborne, Redden,
Robinson W., Steacy, Swift Joseph F, Thompson
Wilson

The Mayor stated the meeting was called to consider
Loan By Law for the opening up of streets and to read the same
a first and second time

Ald. Gaskin introduced a By Law to raise by way of
loan upon the credit of the Debentures of the Municipality of the
City of Kingston for the purpose therein mentioned the sum of
$55.000. which was read a first time

The 30th Rule of Council was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading

Ald. Minnes in the chair

The Council resumed

The Committee rose and the chairman reported the second reading of
the By Law clause by clause - The Report was received

On motion the Council adjourned

Communications were read and referred as follows:-

From W.S. Gordon Secretary Board of Health. Re
illuminating Gas and other subjects - Referred to the Committee
on Streets.

From Messrs H. O'Hara & Co Debenture Brokers Re By Laws
Municiapl Bonds - Referred to the Committee on Finance

From MP Branagan asking for a remission of the rent

of
