The Chairman from the Committee on Streets brought up a Report (Number 809 Book F) which was read

Ald. Gaskin moves, seconded by Ald. Carson
That the Report of the Committee on Streets & Improvements be received and adopted.

In amendment 1st
Ald: Polson moves seconded by Ald. Steacy
That the report of the Committee on Streets be amended by adding "that the Committe on Streets shall submit to this Council before the 15th of May next a detailed statement of the proposed expenditure for the current year on Streets and Improvements ".
The Mayor ruled the motion out of order.

In amendment 2nd
Ald. Hardy moves seconded by Ald. Wilson
That the tender for hardware as recommended by the report be not accepted but that new tenders be asked for and that the expected quantity of each line required be named in the advertisement - which being put was lost.
