Aldermen
Carson, Cliff, Dunlop, Elliott, Gaskin, Herald,
La Chance, Livingston, Martin, McCammon,
McIntyre, McLeod, Polson, Rees, Steacy, Swift,
Wright, Wilson

The Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting

Communications were received and referred as follows:=

From Thomas R Dupuis Esquire Re clap boarding
his Rough-Cast Cottage Brock street. Referred to the City
Commissioners

From J Muckleston & Co - Re Brazel Plows and lumbering
Tools. Referred to the Committee on Streets &c

From Henry Cunningham and others respecting Taxes
Referred to the Court of Revision

From John Macdonald Esquire Secretary Public School
Board asking the Council to submit the $42,000 By Law
to erect School House - filed

From James Agnew on the subject of submitting the
School By Law - filed and referred to the Committee on Finance

From James Agnew re Per Centage By Law - referred to
the Committee on Finance

From M. Haaz and Co respecting sewer Bagot street
Referred to the Committee on Streets

Petitions were presented and referred as follows:-

From William Massie and others asking for a Local
Improvement drain in Barrie street by Ald Wright
Referred to the Committee on Streets

From W.J. Crothers and others by Ald Herald
asking for an Electric Light at the intersection of Earl, Clergy
and West streets - Referred to the Committee on Fire, Water
and Light

From James Kane Re Taxes by Ald McCammon. Referred
to the Court of Revision

From F. Somerville, by Ald Steacy, asking permission
to erect a Wooden building 20 + 22 + 10 to be covered with Canada
Plate &c on Union Street

On motion of Ald Steacy seconded by Ald Herald
Ordered, That the petition of F Somerville be granted
subject to the approval of the City Commissioners

Ald Rees from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up two reports (Numbers 865, 866 Book F)
which were read and adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water and
Light brought up a Report (Number 867 Book F) which was
read and adopted as amended
