A Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of
Kingston was held this day. Present -

Lachance, Livingston, Martin, Muckleston,
McCammon, McIntyre, McLeod, Polson, Rees,
Skinner, Swift, Wright, Wilson
The Clerk read the Minutes of the last Meeting
Communications were read and referred as follows: -
From George Thompson Collector of Taxes - Re Taxes
Collection of Taxes to date - Referred to the Finance Committee.
From A.M. Rosebrugh Corresponding Secretary, Provisions
and Association of Canada - asking assistance in their efforts
in introducing a more enlightened system of dealing with
Crime and Criminals - Referred to the Committee on Finance &c
From the Rev.? I.M. McMorine calling attention to Mrs Worth
case in care of child - Referred to the Committee on Finance &c
From Young Mens Christian Association & others Re Taxes
Referred to the Court of Revision

Ald: Rees from the Committee on Finance and accounts
brought up two Reports (Numbers 892 and 893 Book F)
which was read and adopted
