Tax Collectors security be laid over until next Meeting of the
Council so that time may be had to enquire into the standing of
the Company giving security and for placing before the Company
a copy of the Bond required to be signed by the security

That the item recommending exemption from taxation
to the firm of Chown and Cunningham be struck out and the
whole question of exemption be referred back to the Committee
on Finance with instructions to formulate a general scheme of
exemption which will extend to all the manufacturing interests
of the City alike and equality of taxation - which being put
was lost.
