From Edward Garvin and C.H. Hatch by Ald Gaskin stating the assessment
for a local improvement drain on Ordnance Street is a grievance

Ald Steacy from the Committee on Finance and
accounts brought up two reports (Numbers 897 & 898 Book G)
which were read and adopted

The 42nd Rule of Council was suspended and
the By Law to raise by way of loan upon the Credit of the
debentures of the Municipality of the City of Kingston for
the purpose therein mentioned the sum of $6000.00 was
read a third time and passed

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets &c brought
up a Report (Number 899 Book G) which was read and
adopted

Ald Rees and Dunlop here entered

On motion of Ald Hardy seconded by Ald Livingston
Ordered, That Mr Agnew City Solicitor be requested
to give in his written opinion by next Council Meeting in answer
to the following question - Is it legal to submit a by-law for
opening of Sydenham street at the same time as the Municipal
Elections.

In amendment 3 to motion and amendments thereto
in Mr Wades Communication Re Provincial Exhibition

Ald Gaskin moves seconded by Ald Muckleston
That the Council grant the Midland Central Fair the
sum of $500 on condition they secure the Agricultural and
Arts
