which he as so able an exponent, his honesty of purpose which
now his opportunities admitted, and an integrity the crowning
glory of a character the moral grandeur of which, he has left
as an heritage to the Country he served ever faithfully and lived
so well.
The history of his life teach that there is no limits
to ones usefulness in Canada that the one who has or aim
and seeks to accomplish it by worthy means will succeed and
that patriotism and duty will have their reward.
This Council tenders Mrs Mackenzie its heartfelt sympathy
in the great bereavement she has sustained in the death of her
husband.
On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald Oberndorffer
Ordered, That out of respect for the memory of the
deceased, the Council do now adjourn.
The Council adjourned accordingly.

A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the
City of Kingston was held this day. Present
His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Behan, Carson, Creeggan, Curtis, Dunlop,
Gaskin, Hardy, Herald, Livingston, Meek,
McLeod, Oberndorffer, Robinson, Ryan, Wright
The Mayor stated the meeting was called to take up general
business.

at Genoa in Commemoration of the discovery of America by her
