Ald Livingston moves seconded by Ald Creeggan
That Reports Nos. 959 and 960 be received and
adopted.

In amendment 1st
Ald Hardy moves seconded by Ald McLeod
That the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars
of the unappropriated surplus be passed to the credit of
the City Property Committee.

In amendment 2nd
Ald Behan moves seconded by Ald Elliott
That that portion of the report of the Finance Committee
appropriating $225 to the Committee on Parks and City Property be
struck out and that the Finance Committee be requested to carry out
the instructions of the Council as passed at at the last meeting which
being put was lost as was also the first amendment.

Ald Dunlop from the Committee on Streets and Improvements
brought up a Report (Number 961 Book G) which was read and
adopted (Ald Meek here entered).

The Chairman from the Committee On Water Works brought
up a Report (Number 962 Book G) which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water and
Light brought up a Report (Number 963 Book G) which was
read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Wharves & Habor
brought up a Report (Numbr 964 Book G) which was read and
adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Parks brought
up a Report (Number 965 Book G) which was read and adopted.

Ald Elliott from the Select Committee on Communication
of Board of Health relative to public drainage and other matters
brought up a Report (Number 966 Book G) which was read
and adopted.

Ald Dunlop introduced a By Law No 418 entitled
"A By Law to authorise the construction of a common sewer in
a part of Montreal Street in the City of Kingston as a local
improvement under the provisions of the Municipal Act in that
behalf" which was read a first time.

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into
Committee of the Whole on the second reading.

The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the secod
reading of the By Law clause by clause. The Report was received.
