Petitions were presented and read as follows;

From A.R. Martin and 154 others by Ald Polson asking
for a change in the proposed extension of Sydenham Street to
Brock Street so as to avoid the premises of James Reid. Referred
to the Committee on Streets.

From James Reid by Ald Polson asking that he may be
heard before the Council to present his objections against the
passage of the proposed By Law for opening up Sydenham
street through his premises to Brock street. Referred to the Committee
on Streets &c

From John McKee by Ald Wright. Re Taxes. Referred
to the Court of Revision.

From John A. Charles and H. Bawden by Ald Ryan
asking for a rebate of Auction License for the expired term of the year
to July 1892.
On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald Ryan
Ordered that the prayer of the petition of Bawden and
Charles be granted.

From Sarah Holder by Ald Ryan complaining of her cellar
being flooded. Referred to the Committee on Streets &c

From John McKay by Ald Hardy for permission to erect
a hide house upon a lot in the vicinity of the Tanneries. Referred
to the Board of Health.

From Hugh Doyle and eleven others residents of the South
side of Brock Street between Division and Barrie Street by Alderman
Robinson to have board walk raised and moved outside of boulevard.
Referred to the Committee on Streets.

From Robert Downey and 3 others by Ald Elliott for
the construction of a drain in Jenkins street from a point 190 feet
west of Alfred Street Easterly to Connect with the tile sewer in Alfred
Street. Referred to the Committee on Streets &c

From John King and 11 others by Ald Elliott for the
privilege of removing the side walk outside boulevard on South
side of Pine Street at their expense and under the supervision of
the City Engineer.
On motion of Ald Elliott seconded by Ald Wilson
Ordered that the prayer of the petition of John King
and others be granted.

From the Kingston Amateur Athletic Association by Ald
Skinner, asking for the opening up of Earl Street from its present
termination point westward to the grounds now being fitted up
by the Association for Athletic purposes. Referred to the Committee
on Streets &c.

Ald Curtis from the Committee on Finance and Accounts
brought up (Reports Nos. 967, 968 Book G) which were read
and adopted.
