Kingston September 6th 1892

A Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of
Kingston was held this day. Present

His Worship The Mayor

Aldermen
Carson, Creeggan, Curtis, Drennan, Dunlop,
Fair, Gaskin, Hardy, Herald, Livingston,
Meek, McLeod, Oberndorffer, Polson, Ryan,
Wilson, Wright

The Clerk read the minutes of the two last meetings.

Communications were read and referred as follows.

From the City Clerk Re: summing up files for and
against the By Law entitled "A By Law to raise by way of
loan upon the credit of the Debentures of the Municipality
of the City of Kingston for the purpose therein mentioned the
sum of $31,000" and stating the majority of the votes
for the By Law is thirty five.

Also from the Clerk and the persons appointed to
sum up the votes for and against said By Law and giving
the majority in favor of the By Law as thirty five votes.

From the Bankers Journal and Financial Reviews
asking for Statistical information. Referred to the Committee
on Finance &c

From Merryweather & Sons Re: Steam Fire Engines.
Referred to the Committee on Fire Water and Light.

From the Ontario Institute of the Blind, Brantford
enclosing Report - Referred to the Committee on Schools.

From Smythe and Smith claiming damages on
behalf of Rebecca McCormick. Referred to the Committee
on Streets &c

From George W Turner claiming damages $10.00
to cellar. Referred to the Committee on Streets &c

From C.J. Campbell Esquire son of the late The
Honorabale Sir Alexander Campbell acknowledging receipt
of Resolution of Condolence. Filed.

From Donald Fraser Esquire respecting account.
Referred to Committee on Streets.

From P. Turney asking for a rebate on License. Referred
to the City Solicitor.

From David Boyle asking for a good cube Kingston
limestone to be placed amongst the exhibits at the World's
Fair. Referred to the Committee on Streets &c

From H.J. Lyon claiming damages for William
Follest. Referred to the Committee on Streets &c

From Mrs James Davis asking to have a tree cut
down corner of Gore and Wellington streets &c. Referred to
the Committee on Streets &c to act.
