Ordered that the By Law passed as above be sealed
and signed.

Ald Meek introduced A By Law entitled "A By Law
to provide and impose a penalty for the breach of certain By Laws
and to repeal certain By Laws and for other purposes" which was
read a first time.
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into
Committee of the Whole on the second reading.

The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause. The Report was received.
The 30th Rule was again suspended and the By Law
was read a third time and passed and ordered to be sealed
and signed.

Communications were read and referred as follows:

From the Reverends M McGillivrary President and D. Laing Secretary
re: playing of the Bands in the Parks during the summer months
on Wednesday evenings as interfering with prayer - meeting services
in Churches. Referred to the Committee on Parks.
