Ald Mundell moves seconded by Ald C Robinson.
That the report be amended by striking out that
section re: affirming the maintenance of the street 18 inches
outside of the rails by the Company and that the company be
responsible for accidents to persons and property caused by
said Railway which being put was lost.

On motion of Ald McIntyre seconded by Ald Bowes
Ordered, That this Council does not regard with entire
approval the Bill now pending before the Legislature at Toronto
entitled "An Act to confirm certain Municipal By Laws granting aid
to the Kingston, Smith Falls & Ottawa Railway" and this Council
instructs the Committee having in hand the Electric Street Railway
matters when in Toronto to endeaver to secure such modifications in the
said Bill as will restrict said Bill so far as it refers to the City of
Kingston so that its effect shall be merely to extend the time for
completing the said Railway and to authorize the issue of Debentures
of a later date contemplated by the Bylaw of
this Council.

On motion the Council adjourned.
