Ald McKelvey from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up Reports (Numbers 1062 & 1063 Book G)
which were read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets brought
up a Report (Number 1064 Book G) where were read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Water
Works brought up a Report (Number 1065 Book G) where
were read and adopted.
The Chairman from the Court of Revision
brought up a Report (Number 1066 Book G) where
were read and adopted.

On motion of Ald Meek seconded by Ald Skinner
Ordered, That the consolidated By Laws
be taken up as the first item of business at the next
meeting of the Council

On motion the Council adjourned.

A meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of
Kingston was held this day. Present:

His Worship The Mayor
Aldermen:
Bowes, Carson, Elliott, Gaskin, Hardy,
Herald, Horn, Meek, Mundell, McIntyre,
McKelvey, Wilson, Wright.

The Mayor stated the meeting was called to consider
consolidated By Laws and to receive the Report of the
Special Committee on Railway Extension and also other
business.

A Communication from the City Clerk Toronto Re:
Bill No 137 entitled "An Act to make further provisions
as to Voter Lists in Cities". Referred to the Mayor, City Solicitor
and City Commissioners.

The Mayor presented the draft of a petition to the
Lieutenant Governor and Legislative Assembly of Ontario
Re: certain powers to Bell Telephone Company.

On motion of Ald Meek seconded by Ald Elliott
Ordered, That the Mayor be empowered to sign the
petition to the Legislature in favour of a law granting to
Councils
