appointed January 16th 1893 be and are hereby discharged.

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald Meek.
Whereas dissatisfaction has been expressed by some of
the Electors with the delays in the preliminaries leading to
the extension of Sydenham Street from Princess to Johnson
nd these delays cannot be accounted for by members of the
Streets Committee who have to do with the work,

Be it resolved:

1. That the City Solicitors and City Commissioners be
required to report to this Council at its next regular meeting,
the number of appointments made by the arbitrators for the
hearing of evidence the number of postponements which have
occured the parties responsible for these postponements and
the reasons assigned therefor the costs incurred if any and to whom
they are chargeable.

2. That it be an instruction to the City Solicitor and City
Commissioners, the officials having to do with the street extension not
to counsel or agree to any further delay in arbitrations proceeding
without the Knowledge and consent of this Council.

On motion of Ald Hardy seconded by Ald Gaskin
Ordered, That the Mayor and Ald McIntyre with
the Solicitor be a Committee to look after the necessary legislation
to complete street Railway matters.

On motion the Council adjourned at One o'Clock A.M.

A meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston was
held this day. Present:

Herald, Horn, Meek, Mundell, McIntyre, McKelvey,
McLeod, C Robinson, W Robinson, Ryan, Skinner, Wilson,

The read the minutes of the two last meetings.

On motion of Ald Meek seconded by Ald McIntyre
Ordered, That Rule 31 of the Council relating to the order of
proceedings be suspended and that after the confirmation of the Minutes,
the consolidated By Laws be the first business to come before the Council
at this and each meeting until the work of revision and reprinting is complete.
