Ordered, That the address read by Alderman McIntyre be
presented to Mr Flanagan by the Mayor. Aldermen Gaskin, McIntyre,
Wilson, McKelvey and the mover and seconder

On motion the Council adjourned.

Kingston was held this day. Present

Communications were read and referred as follows:

From A Rousseau enclosing declarations Re: suction pipe.
Referred to the Water Works Committee.

From James Wilson Arbitrator in behalf of City Re
James Reid and City of Kingston - Sydenham Street and
from James Agnew City Solicitor Re: Arbitration

On motion of Ald Meek seconded by Ald Hardy
Ordered, That the Finance Committee be requested
to lift the several awards that have so far been made in
connection with the extension of Sydenham Street from Princess
to Johnson Streets, that a statement be submitted showing
the sums the awards call for and the disbursements
occasioned by the Arbitration so far, that to the result of
the awards be added the estimated expenditure in purchasing
a right of way through the property of the Ecclesiastical
Corporation; and that the difference between the amount thus
obtained, and the total amount voted under the By Law
carried by the people be reported as soon as possible so that
it may be determined by the Council what course under
the circumstance it should pursue.
