The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause. The Report was
received.
The 30th Rule was again suspended and the
By Law was read a third time and passed
and was signed and sealed.

Ald McKelvey introduced a By Law to raise by
way of loan the sum of $788.67 for the purposes therein
mentioned, which was read a first time.
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went
into Committee of the Whole on the second reading.

The Council resumed.

reading of the By Law clause by clause. The Report was received.
The 30th Rule was again suspended and the By
Law was read a third time and passed and was signed
and sealed.

On motion of Ald Hardy seconded by Ald Gaskin
That this Council laments the sudden
death of Doctor Thomas R. Dupuis formerly a member of this
Board, one who took an active interest in the administration
of public affairs and discharged his duty with intelligence and
fidelity.
Resolved that we express our sympathy with his family
in their sad bereavement and that the City Clerk send them
a copy of this resolution.

The 30th Rule was again suspended and the By Law
was read a third time and passed and was signed and sealed.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Curtis
Ordered, That the Committee on City Property be
and are hereby requested to have the floor of the Council
Chamber covered with mallery or such other material as
they may consider best.

On motion the Council adjourned.
