From the Kingston Cricket Club per D.S. Robertson & Allan Jones,
Secretaries asking the Council to protect them in the use and enjoyment of
their rights as defined in report annexed.

Ald Curtis moves seconded by Ald McIntyre
That this Council having heard read the petition of the
Kingston Cricket Club and the report of the Committee on the Park dated
29th September 1873 reaffirms the said report and declares that the western
portion of the Cricket Field is in charge of the said Cricket Club in terms of said
report and that the Police Commissioners be requested to assist this Council in
carrying out said report and protecting the said Cricket Club in the use of
the said Western portion of the Cricket Field.

In amendment
Ald Meek moves seconded by Ald Elliott
That the petition of the Cricket Club be referred to the Park
Committee to take into consideration all the interests of the affected Clubs and
to reconcile if possible the differences between them without resorting to any
arbitrary measures which being put was lost.

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets brought up a Report
(Number 1097 Book G) which was read and adopted.

Ald Carson introduced "A By Law to authorize the construction
of an artificial stone side walk on the North side of that part of Princess Street
from Bagot Street to Montreal Street in the City of Kingston as a Local Improvement
which was read a first time.
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into Committee
of the whole on the second reading.
Ald Curtis in the Chair.
The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second reading of the
By Law clause by clause. The report was received.
The 30th Rule was again suspended and the By Law was read
a third time and passed.

Ald Curtis introduced "A By Law to amend the By Law
known as and called "The Consolidated By Laws of the City of Kingston"
which was read a first time.
