The Chairman from the Committee on Parks brought up
a Report (Number 1116 Book G) which was read.

Ald Curtis moves seconded by Ald Herald
That the report of the Committee on Parks be
received and adopted.

In amendment
Ald Carson moves seconded by Ald Mundell
That the matter of the charge in the Parks
report be referred back to the Committee on Streets and
the Engineer for a statement of expenditure in detail
on King Street - which being put was lost and the
original motion being put was carried.

Ald Carson introduced "A By Law to authorize
the construction of an artificial stone side walk on a
part of Princess street in the City of Kingston as a
local improvement under the provisions of the Municipal
Act and of the Act passed at the last session of the
Legislature of the Province of Ontario entitled "An Act
respecting Local Improvements in the City of Kingston"
which was read a first time.

The 30th Rule was suspended for the evening
as to readings of By Laws.
The Council went into Committee of the Whole
on the second reading
Ald Mundell in the Chair
The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause. The report
was received.
The By Law was read a third time and passed.
