Wednesday 8 o'Clock P.M.
Kingston November 29th 1893

A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston
was held this day. Present:

Aldermen: McAulay, Behan, Bowes, Carson, Curtis, Elliott, Gaskin, Hardy,
Horn, Meek, McKelvey, McLeod, C Robinson, W Robinson, Ryan, Wright.

Alderman McKelvey was appointed Chairman

The Chairman stated meeting was called to take up general
business and consider Report on Streets, on Electric Street Railway.

Ald Horn brought up the petition of R Young and 12 others
free holders on Livingston Avenue asking the Council not to allow the
Street Car Company to change their line of track by leaving the avenue.

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets &c brought up a
Report (Number 1138 Book G) which was read adopted.

Ald Meek introduced Consolidated By Law No 488 entitled
"A By Law respecting common sewers and the annual rent of sewer
rate for the use of the same" which was read a first time.
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into
Committee of the Whole on the second reading.
Ald Hardy in the Chair
The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second reading
of the By Law clause by clause. The Report was received.

Ald Meek introduced Consolidated By Law No 489 entitled
"A By Law respecting the impounding of cattle and other animals and
Pound and Pound Keepers" which was read a first time.
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went into
Committee of the Whole on the second reading.
Ald Gaskin in the Chair
The Council resumed.
The Committee rose, there being no quorum the members dispersed.
