Ald Gaskin from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up a Report (Number 1139 Book G) which
was read and adopted.

On motion of Ald Behan seconded by Ald Gaskin
Ordered, That the usual grant be made to the
Reporters.

On motion of Ald Hardy seconded by Ald Horn
Ordered, That the sum of eight hundred dollars
be placed to the credit of the Mayor as allowance
for 1893

On motion the Council adjourned.

Kingston December 15th 1893

A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the
City of Kingston was held this day. Present:

Aldermen:
Carson, Curtis, Elliott, Gaskin, Hardy, Herald,
Horn, Meek, McIntyre, McKelvey, C Robinson,
W Robinson, Ryan, Skinner, Wilson,
Wright.

Alderman McKelvey was chosen Chairman

The Chairman stated meeting was called
to consider By Laws and general business.

Communications were read and referred as follows:

From George Thompson, Collector of Taxes
giving statement of Taxes collected for 1892 to date.
Referred to the Finance Committee.

From John McIntyre Esquire Q.C. asking
for damages owing to injuries received by
Miss Ferguson. Referred to the Committee on
Streets.

From Henry Cunningham and others respecting
Taxes. Referred to the Court of Revision.

Ald Meek introduced "A By Law to provide
and impose a penalty for a breach of certain By Laws
and to repeal certain By Laws and for other purposes"
which was read a first time.
The 30th Rule was suspended for the evening
as to the reading of By Laws.
