Ald Meek introduced By Law No 490 entitled
"A By Law respecting the Harbors" which was read a
first time.
The Council went into Committee of the Whole
on the second reading.
Ald Curtis in the Chair.
The Council resumed.

second reading of the By Law clause by clause. The
report was received.

"A By Law respecting the City of Kingston Water Works" which
was read a first time.
The Council went into Committee of the Whole
on the second reading.
Ald Ryan in the Chair.
The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause as
amended. The report was received.
The By Law was read a third time and passed.

Ald Curtis brought up the petition of Neil McNeill
President Kingston Mechanics Institute asking for the
use of the Ontario Hall during four weeks in the
afternoons and evenings for the purpose of training children
and young ladies and gentlemen in an entertainment f
or the benefit of the Mechanics Institute.

On motion of Ald Curtis seconded by Ald Gaskin.
Ordered, That the petition of the Mechanics
Institute be referred to the City Property Committee with p
ower to act.

On motion, the Council adjourned.
