The Council went into Committee of the Whole on
the second reading of the By Law
Ald Hardy in the Chair
The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause

Ald Gaskin moves seconded by Ald McIntyre
That the 30th Rule be now suspended and
the By Law be read a third time

In amendment
Ald W Robinson moves seconded by Ald Elliott
That the exemption commence after the passing
of this By Law which being read was lost.
Yeas: Aldermen Carson, Elliott and W Robinson - 3
Nays: The Mayor Aldmn: Allen, Behan, Curtis, Gaskin,
Hardy, Horn, Martin, Meek, Mundell, McIntyre,
McKelvey, McMahon, Richardson, G Robinson,

the original motion being put was carried.

The By Law was then read a third time and passed.

Ald Behan moves seconded by Ald Carson
That a By Law be prepared setting forth the
general principles of exemption as adopted by the Council
of 1892 and that the same be submitted to the electors the
first time a by -law is voted on or at the next municipal
Elections which being put was lost.

Horn, Martin, Meek, G Robinson, W Robinson - 10
Nays: The Mayor Aldermen: Gaskin, Hardy, Mundell,
McIntyre, McKelvey, McMahon, Richardson, Ryan,
Skinner, Walkem, Wright - 12

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Gaskin
Ordered, That when this Council adjourns it stands
adjourned until Monday February the 5th unless the Mayor
deems it necessary to call a meeting before that date.
