to the Finance Committee for further consideration which being put

On motion of Ald Hardy seconded by Ald McKelvey
Ordered, That the Reports of the Finance Committee
be received and adopted as amended.

Ald Meek from the Committee on Water Works brought
up a Report (Number 1151 Book G) which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on City Property
brought up a Report (Number 1152 Book G) which was
read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Parks brought
up a Report (Number 1153 Book G) which was read and
adopted.

A Report from the Mayor and City Commissioner
Re Garbage was read.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Walkem
Ordered, That the Communication of the Mayor and
City Commissioner Re: Care of Garbage be referred to the
Board of Works to ascertain cost and report.

Ald Carson introduced "A By Law to authorize the
construction of a common sewer in a part of James Street
in the City of Kingston as a local improvement under the
provisions of the Municipal Act in that behalf" which was
read a first time.
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the Whole on the second reading
Ald Horn in the Chair
The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause. The Report was
received.
The 30th Rule was again suspended and the By Law
was read a third time and passed.

Ald Carson introduced "A By Law authorizing
His Worship the Mayor and the City Treasurer to borrow
a sum not exceeding $75,000 in anticipation of the taxes of 1894"
which was read a first time.
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the Whole on the second reading
Ald Martin in the Chair
The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause. The Report
was received.
The 30th Rule was again suspended and the
By Law was read a third time and passed.

On motion the council adjourned.
