Ald Walkem moves seconded by Ald Gaskin
That the Council do now adjourn which
being put was lost. Yeas 2 Nays 16

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water
and Light brought up a Report which was read.

Ald Behan moves seconded by Ald Gaskin
That the report of the Committee on Fire, Water
and Light be received and adopted.

In amendment 1st
Ald Hardy moves seconded by Ald Allen
That the report be received and considered clause
by clause

In amendment 2nd
Ald McIntyre moves seconded by Ald Carson
That the report of the Committee on Fire, Water and
Light be received and considered next Monday night clause
by clause which being put was carried and the original
motion and amendent thereto were lost.

On motion of Ald Curtis seconded by Ald Walkem
Ordered, That the Board of Works be requested
to consider the advisability of removing three trees from Clarence
street near Wellington street and that the Committee have
power to act.

On motion the meeting adjourned.

A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City
of Kingston was held this day. Present:

His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen:
Allen, Behan, Carson, Curtis, Elliott, Gaskin,
Hardy, Horn, Martin, Meek, Mundell, McIntyre,
McKelvey, McMahon, Richardson, G Robinson, W Robinson,
Ryan, Skinner, Walkem, Wright

The Mayor stated the meeting was called to take into
consideration Finance Report Re: Consolidation of offices &c and
Report of Committee on Fire, Water and Light which were read
on the second of April instant and other business.

Communications summarized by the Clerk were read and
referred as follows:

From Wm Harty Esquire M.P.P. acknowledging resolution
to Board of Trade - drilling &c. Fyled.
