Senate gold medals

The Senate agreed to offer insteads of the
Senate scholarship for next session, two gold medals,
one for honour work in History and the
other for honour work in Chemistry.

The Senate requested Prof. Watson when
in Scotland to make enquiries in Edinbugh and
Glasgow as to the probable cost of binding in
whole or half calf with a view of the Senate procuring
prize books in future from one of those
citites.

In accordance with the minutes of the
meetings held Jan. 12th, Jan 19th and March 16th the
Senate resolved to confer and hereby do confer the
degree of Doctor of Divinity upon the Rev. John
C. Baxter, Montreal; the Rev. William Fowler,
Boundhead, Ont, the Rev. Robert Sedewick Desquodeboit,
N.L. and the Rev. Thomas Wardrope
Guelph, Ont.

and declared correct.

The above minutes were read and sustained.
