Prof. Hart's application for the degree
of B.D. was taken up, and its further
consideration was deferred till next meeting.

The Senate met and was constituted.

Mowat, Dupuis, Ferguson and Watson.

The minutes of the last meeting held Jan.
11th were read and approved.

as matriculant

Richard A Irvine a matriculant of the Albert
College was received ad eundem.

Shannons subject of Thesis

R.W. Shannon's subject of Thesis, viz
The origin and development of the Common
Law of England was approved of.

Knight medical examiner
[/margin]

Mr. A.P. Knight was appointed Examiner
for matriculation in medicine during
the pleasure of the Senate.

Professors Dupuis, Ferguson, and Watson
were appointed to prepare a programme
of the ensuing examinations in Arts and
to report to the next meeting of Senate.

Ashford's essay rejected
[/margin]

The Senate resolved that Mr. Ashford's
printed Essay on the County of Carleton could
not be admitted to the competition for the
Thornton prize consistently with Nos. 2, 3 and
5 of the published conditions of competiton.

In reference to a request form the Managers
of the College Journal that the Senate
assist them in procuring a photograph of
