The Senate met and was constituted.

Mowat, Dupuis, Ferguson, and
Watson.

The Principal having stated that he
had ascertained at the Police office that Messrs
Shibley, Froiland, and Ferguson were the three
students to whose misconduct on the night
of the 24th inst. reference had been made in
the Daily Papers, the Senate proceeded to consider
what action should be taken in the matter.
Professor Ferguson after stating what
he knew of his son's connection with the affair
retired, and summonses having been
sent out for the immediate compearance of
the persons above named, the janitor reported
that Froiland was out of the City,
but Messrs. Ferguson and Shibley presented
themselves, and confessed, the former
that he had been drunk and had in consequence
of the disorderly conduct of his companions
been seized in the street by a policeman and
taken to the police office, and the latter that
he also had been drunk on the same night,
had broken the windows of several houses,
and otherwise behaved in a disorderly manner.
The Senate also found from the acknowledgment
of Messrs. Shibley and Ferguson
