Molasses Crinkles

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. l. molasses
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 t. salt
2 t. soda
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. ginger
1/2 t. cloves
1/4 c. granulated sugar

Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg and molasses.
Add dry ingredients.
Chill thoroughly.
Ungreased sheet

350° 15 min.
