Add to butter mixture. Add hot water and mix well. Spread 1/2 dough in greased pan lined with wax paper - 1/8 - 1/4" thick. Spread with cooled date and nut mixture. Place remaining dough in greased wax paper - pat out with floured palm of hand. Invert into pan.

375° 20-25 min

Turn out of pan. Cut while warm.
