There is a lot of activity around a hack??? On the 12th they clean it, paint it on the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, and varnish it on the 25th. It would be helpful to know what it is.

I have no idea what a hack is. I tried looking up hack or hach with no luck. My coworker was wondering maybe they meant shack, buy why repeatedly forget the "s". This is quite the mystery, I'll keep asking around. Nice find!

After discussing what they could be cleaning, painting, varnishing, then putting back together, my brilliant coworker said maybe it's a small boat. Low and behold, I looked up "hack boat" and found: "Definition of hack boat in US English: NOUN. A (small) boat used for general work such as the transport of goods or passengers, especially one which is available for hire. Now somewhat rare.
Origin Mid 19th century; earliest use found in Bell's Life in London and Sporting Chronicle." from https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/us/hack_boat :)

The hack was a work wagon used by farmers. Google "Amish hack buggy"
