August 7: Light S. East to East wind and calm with light rain showers first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours moderate to fresh and strong breeze N. West clear fine weather - Sea smooth - General duties for day - Had 16 visitors - Keeper went to Newport today.

8: Fresh and moderate breeze N. West these 24 hours with clear fine weather during 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Had thirty six visitors today - Keeper showing visitors in the tower - 1st asst went to Newport also working in the garden - U.S. Steamer Columbine Light House tender passed this light going south at 2:30 P.M. she is laying off the entrance of Yaquina bar intending to enter and lieve annual supplies for this station.

9: Fresh breeze N. West these 24 hours with clear fine weather during these 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Had eleven visitors today - Light House Inspector Commander O. W. Farenholt arrived at this station at 9:30 A.M. - Inspected station and left for Newport at 10 A.M. - Also left annual supplies for the station - Mr McCullen hauling supplies from Newport to station - 1st asst showing visitors in tower also polishing storm pane clamps & crank for winding up plunger in lamp - Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport.

10: Moderate breeze to light wind N. West first part of 24 hours with fair weather - Last part of 24 hours moderate fresh and strong breeze N. West some fog but mostly fair weather - Sea smooth - Keeper & 2nd asst cleaning the dust out of the ventilators in lantern - painting step ladders - Laying coal oil cases in barn - 1st asst polishing storm pane clamps also working his garden - Had twenty six visitors today - Keeper and 1st asst showing visitors in tower - Keeper taking account of supplies on hand at date of making delivery of annual supplies - Mr. McCullen hauling supplies.

11: Fresh to moderate breeze N. West thick damp fog these 24 hours - Sea smooth - Mr. McCullen and Mr Oliver hauling supplies today - Had five visitors - Keeper cleaning out lockers in oil-room and cleaning oil butts ready to paint them.

12: Light N. West to S. East wind these 24 hours first part of 24 hours thick damp fog - Last part of 24 hours fair weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport to see about some hay - 1st asst slaking line and showing visitors in the tower - Had seven visitors today - Mr. Jack McCullen completed hauling annual supplies today.

13: Light S. East wind & calm these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours thick fog & rain showers - Last part of 24 hours clear fine & warm - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper went to Newport and borrowed a wagon to haul hay - Had six visitors - 1st asst went fishing - U.S. Light-House tender Columbine passed this light at 7 P.M. going north to Astoria.

14: Light wind to moderate and fresh breeze N. West these 24 hours with clear fine weather - Sea smooth - Keeper and 2nd asst painting oil-butts and showing visitors in tower - 1st asst went fishing - Had thirty nine visitors today.

15: Light N. West wind first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours moderate breeze N.W. with clear fine weather during 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport - 1st asst showing visitors in tower - Had twenty eight visitors.

16: Light N. West to South wind with thick damp fog most of 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - 2nd asst went to Newport to take a beef - 1st asst went fishing and showed twelve visitors in tower - Keeper painting oil-butts green.
