9:15 To MS.

9:45 Give new release to testers.

See how much faster it is due to last night's Wait Release change.

There was a small improvement.

But then I asked Tony about changing Works so it doesn't flash so badly when scrolling on IBM CGA in B&W.

So we go to see Scott and I actually get them to do it THEN.

And then I test its speed impact.

Lots this mornings gains.

12:30 Go to Sea Galley in Bellevue pondering why Works is slower than 123.

1:15 Back at MS, try different situations: empty sheets, extending using the mouse, color, B&W, snow, etc

Learned quite a bit. Made notes

(Also researched whether character for scroll thumb should not be a blank.)

Lots of misc too.

7:15 Go home, feeling empty, like Jello.

Make & eat dinner. Laundry.

Go get some birthday cards.

VERY LOW ENERGY TRIP TO SAFEWAY.

Do mail. Card to Fred for birthday.

Call Bob for a short time.

Go mail cards at downtown P.O.

Remembered Thursday is big at Sparks having driven by it with Bill F after Omnidive.

Not very attractive but talked with one guy named Doug, who was just coming out.

Drove home. Read part of chap 7 of Mask.
