I would have to pick my own stocks, and I don't want to rely on Value Line for recommendations, because they rely 90% on earnings growth, and it doesn't seem to work too well for their funds. And I'd like more fundamental, judgmental evaluations to be involved, which I can't provide myself.
And I don't want to limit myself to owning only stocks which have options. I want to have money invested in small companies too, so at most maybe a third of my money would be in optionable stocks.
And of course I want to avoid clerical work. So go for funds.
Some funds offer limited covered option writing. Fund of Tomorrow does at most 15% of underlying stocks and American Cap Venture does 25% at most. But these are only maximums.
It's clear then that I shouldn't get personally invested
