computer as remuneration for work I did in developing payroll and labor distribution software for them during my high school senior year, and with it I began to write the 5000 - instruction program whihc is the heart of Editx.
And I developed a great game of tennis that summer.
In the autumn of 1972 I transferred to Stanford University as a sophomore. I continued majoring in electrical engineering.
Fall quarter of 1972 was excellent. I worked reasonably hard, had some fun, and had time to think about problems. I gained 13 units of A, 6 passes (for "exposure" courses where no grades were given) and wrote news for the Daily.
The next quarter turned out well though it was somewhat unrealistically planned. I decided to take 18 graded units, be in a play, work with Campus Crusade for Christ again, and
