courses. The four week break was especially superb - our traveling trio even visited Moscow and Leningrad for a week.

Spring quarter I took two engineering classes totaling 6 units, one in EE + one in ME, a 5 unit humanities course in Theatre and a 5-unit sociology course. Thus my work was well distributed over all areas of interest to me. By midquarter though, after taking all of these types of courses simultaneously, it occurred to me that I am much more interested in engineering than humanities and social sciences. My interest lagged so much that I only took a pass in Theatre, not willing to work hard for a good grade, and it took me quite awhile to finish the incomplete I got in Sociology and get an A. My two engineering courses attracted my interest much more than H + SS.
