Appendix

For seventh to twelfth grades I attended the Lakeside school in Seattle where I grew up. Upon graduation, I was selected for membership in the Cum Laude Society of America and became one of the Merit Corporation's "Who's Who" in American high schools.

Besides the usual high school experience I spent much time playing with and consequently learning about computers using Fortran in Artificial Intelligence projects, Cobol to create a payroll and labor distribution package for Information Sciences, Inc. of Portland, and Macro-10 (machine language for the PDP-10) to create a 5000 - instruction text editor. I did summer's worth of work on an NCR 200, systems programming, at Logic Simulation company in Kent, Wa.
