What would you do in the SW on a holiday. There is so little choice. I'm sure I'd be one of the better looking guys anywhere in the SW. People just aren't out that much there yet. But in LA - S. Diego it would be easy to find lots of stuff to do NYears/ 4 of July, lots of good parties, etc. There would be a wide variety of stuff to do.

What I'm saying is there is little reason to move to another place in the SW just to find love. It is not worth leaving Microsoft. There are no well known institutions of learning, no big wonderful industries, etc.

Computer manufacture + design is big in Southern Cal. There are several software cos. there. Layne is there. It is a metropolis, I can say I'm from there.

How important is image to me now? My goals are to have fun + do some good work in a good niche in the world. When I travel + tell people I'm from ABQ, or Salt Lake or Phoenix or Denver, they really don't have anything to say. ABQ is negative, Salt Lake O, and
