Its pretty simple. The first stage took about 2 of Seidel's weeks this past summer, and the combining stage I decided had to be done when I didn't have to be concered about Seidel, so I'm doing it this week, the first week I'm free. I hope to have it done this week.

Each category is like a combined asset and income statement. I show what my assets were when I arrived in ABQ in 1978, and the subsequent disposition of those items, or the addition of things to those categories. One of the categories is the cash account which pays for all of the little things as stated above at about $450 a month. Apparel, Durables, travel, sport, Art + Records + fun books, gifts to others, charity funds, education, and financial. Just take a look at the book itself. These categories and their subcategories have been arrived at by virtue of the types of expenditures I have made since 1976.

There is a three-page guide on double entry bookkeeping, to allow accurate + useful accounting, at the start of the "categorized checkbook."

In starting this new system I have switched banks, now at Wells Fargo. Very attractive, rustic, California image.
