Dear Sirs: -

The Package of photographs which you have sent on have been received and carefully examined and they appear generally to be carefully taken and ought to give good results, but there are several which are not satisfactory.

The view of the Brooks lot shows all the graves in the lot except that of Bishop Brooks although this grave was the only one desired.

The view of the Lowell stone seems very stiff, although perhaps something can be done by vigneting and thereby getting rid of so much grass. There are trees on the lot which it would seem might be worked in to give a better result.

The views of the Lawn fountain with the Chapel in the distance and of the Burlingame monument and Alice Fountain are not satisfactory. They were intended to be more general views of the albums you previously furnished. The fault which I find is that [of] lack of foreground but I suppose there is not doubt that this can be remedied by retaking the views from a more distant spot.

The view of the Tower seems to be indistinct and out of focus, and should be retaken also.
