Dear Sir

Your favor is received.

In answer to the question at the end of your letter
I directed an examination of the Lot #2306 by the
Gardener; who reports it as needing "Grading & Sodding"
The Fence scraping & painting. The graves are sunken & need
raising The Number cut and the Tree removed. I have
written to the Propr of the adjoining lot asking his order
for the removal of the tree, agreeably to your permis-
sion. Should you have the lot graded & Sodded I would
suggest that the graves be made level with the lot
rather than mounded as the sod is less liable to
die when flat than on a mound. The Headstones
are out of plumb & should be righted. This work,
before mentioned, can be done for about $7000.

We will do it for that sum in any event and
will charge you as much less than that, as the
work costs us. Please sign & return enclosure

Respectfully James W Lovering Supt
