Messrs Holmes & Rugg

Dear Sirs

We shall want at new
greenhouses 60 tons furnace coal, of which I should
like as much as ½ "[?ed]" - We cannot very conve-
niently take in over 40 tons at once, but if you
cannot arrange otherwise you can fill the bins &
put the rest in yard.

I shall want 22 Tons ^furnace coal "[?]" delivered at the Engine
House at the rate of 5 tons in three weeks_ You
can [?] a load up as done as convenient.
Also 3 Tons for the Chapel. for [?] of the corporation.

At my house, I want 8 tons [?] furnace coal &
6 tons [?] coal, these to be charged to my personal
account. I should rather not take the [?] coal quite
yet as my bins are very full, but send it if you
couldn't keep it.

I understand from you Mr. Rugg that I am to
pay $8 per ton for Furnace coal spending $250 for [?]

Yours truly

J. W. Lovering
