Dear Sir

Many complaints have been made
of late both to the Trustees & to me in regard to the
tools left about the grounds on Sundays, and the tools
[?] [?] pails placed under the hedges & about
the grounds on weekdays, very much injuring the
appearance of neatness in the grounds.

I want you to give such instructions to all the
foremen, and men as will effectually prevent any
more cause for complaint, and I shall give the
preference in all opportunities which occur for
tonites work, or advancement to these men only who
I am satisfied are careful in following out any
instructions in this respect.

I look to you to see that this is strictly carried
out, and will you to make yourself personally
responsible that it is.

The grounds are visited on Sundays, especially.
by Trustees & others who will not cease to complain
