Dear Sir

By mistake you were
told the price of grading & sodding
would be $75; I cannot have it
done less than $80 and if this
is not satisfactory please return
the certificate to me and I will
consider the whole sale void -

If I do not hear from you in
the course of a week or so I
shall understand that you
agree to [?] the lot, paying $80
for the grading & sodding &c

Yours truly

Dear Sir

Your note of the
rec'd and I will have the lot
attended to.

After you left here, I found
that both lots were cared for
in 1873. but nothing has been
done this year so that there will
be no charges except for what
you have first ordered.

I have had all my orders looked
over & can find no order for
the care for this year, so that it
is no fault of mine that it was
not attended to.

Any order you may wish to leave for
1875 I will have carefully attended
to.

Yours truly

J. W. Lovering
