Third Meeting : Spring Quarter, April 27th.

Meeting called to order at 7:30. Minutes were
read. and a Correction was made by Mr. Sah con-
cerning Chih's prize which was 4 dollars 15 cents
instead of $4.75.

President asked Mr. [Chien?] to report the conference business meeting
They attended last night in San Francisco. The conference which The meeting which [consider?] if the represent-
atives of the Western students alliance discussed the [sin?] summer
[seat?] to be used for the Western students' conference to be held at
August. Chien said that the board of trustees had chosen
Stanford as the most desired seat for this year, and
the Stanford Delegates had consented to the suggestion. [Chuan?]
urged that the matter must be decided in the affirmat
for two reasons. First since the trustees had put the
task before us as a moral challenge, it is [our time?] for us
to show our spirit spirit of cooperation and service.
Second, it is a good chance for us for to propagate for
Stanford University & the Stanford Chinese Club.

Various question were asked by new members
regarding the nature of the conference. D.K. Chang
said that the success of the conference wholly depends
upon the hard preparation of the members & nothing
else. Without laborious prepration, It would be a
confusion and a failure. President then asked
how many of the members were {insert}not{/insert} not going to stay here for
the summer. There were not many. There was some furthe
discussion.
