PRELIMINARY CONSTITUTION - drawn up by
members at the Dec 3, 1951 House meeting.

I. PURPOSE OF CLUBHOUSE

a. "To Foster International Fellowship."

b. To remain as a house for all Chinese, but with
all races invited to mix and integrate in
fostering International fellowship.

II NAME OF CLUBHOUSE

Remain - "Chinese Clubhouse"

III RESIDENTS

1. Total available space = 13

2. Maximum space available to (other races, ie Caucasians) = 5 per quart[er]

3. Chinese shall occupy the remaining 9 spaces. But if
the max. space for Chinese (9) is not filled by Chinese, othe[r]
races (i.e. Caucasians) can occupy these spaces - for on[e]
quarter (10 weeks) only or as long as there is no
demand by Chinese for residence.

Example: SPRING QUARTER - 1970
Total space = 13
Caucasians = 4
Chinese = 7
Space remaining = 2

If there is no demand for these two spaces
by Chinese, then other races - i.e. Caucasians -
can occupy these 2 spaces for One (1) quarter,
or more if there is no further demand in Autumn
for space by Chinese students.

4. If maximum space for "other races" (4) is not filled in any
quarter, then Chinese can occupy these empty spaces
for one (1) quarter, or more if there is no demand by
