most of the games out of the fat. Captained by
Him Chin, Clubhouse Athletic manager, the Chinese
Club finally met its match in the championship
game as excessive manpower, dirty-playing, the
reffree referee, and an average height of 6'1",
combined to defeat the slant-eyed-five. Star and
leading scorer for the season was Luke Chan (the
Ron Tomsic of the club) with 40 pts for four games.
His outburst of 18pts. in final game not quite enough
to insure victory. Other top floormen and shots were
Captain Him Chin (5'10" rebound artist, but blind), Don
Tsang (has two more years of eligibility), and Chuck
White (no, not a Chinaman). Rounding out the "huge"
bench strength were Marty Lee (a better tennis player),
Don "Fatso" Cheu (can't shot, but can foul like hell --
averaged .025 pts. per game), Ralph "Turkey" Howes
(he tried!), and Gordo "I'm only in love" Chan.

Prospects for the 1954 season are promising,
as daily practice sessions are being conducted by Him
Chin from now 'till next season. See huge trophy
awarded Club for its brilliance in basketball, 1953.
