Hard-working members of the Coronation Ball
Committee were:

Held at the Colonial Room of the St. Francis
Hotel in San Francisco from 9 to 1 with music by
Phil BOVERO and his orchestra. Some 200 couples
attended. Very successful affair, semi-formal,
and evening was highlighted by Coronation crown-
ing of 1953 Queen Jeanette Jang of Sacramento
J.C. Every queen contesetant received a trophy, plus
prizes. Popularity vote won by Jeannette Jang, while
the judging was worn by Lalorie Chung of San
Jose State. Overall vote & point system favored
Miss Jang. Judges were Dr. Stilwell of Stan-
ford, Dean of Men at Stanford Richard Balch,
and Mr. Robinson. Patrons were MR. Balch and
MR. & Mrs. Hoover of Stanford.
